Very polite as usual Jacob. 4 years is way too long to wait. I predict more direct action will occur due to the frustration of this waiting period. Private flotillas of seagoing craft blockading Dover for instance?

The French complicity needs way more aggressive pushback…we did liberate them as I recall.

Enoch would never have wiped the floor at the Oxford union, as Jacob did. 😀

I will be campaigning for Jacob

Jacob - You are right as always. Please join the Reform party now. Your values of kindness, fairness and doing the right thing were once Conservative party values. But that's the past. Much as I respect Kemi, I can't vote for that party again. Reform is the closest thing to small c conservatism, liberal values, small government and fiscal restraint. If you moved to Reform I promise to become a life-long member!

Capitalism itself is driving this mass immigration agenda. Capitalism is sucking in labour from across the World. America is the prime example.

Lenin predicted this in his essay Capitalism and Worker's Immigration.

The Right needs to understand why it completely failed to conserve ANYTHING from 1945.

You stated that Donald Trump reduced illegal immigration on our southern border by 91% as of April 2025, and that is true. You should also know that shortly thereafter, illegal incursions dropped to a statistical 0.00% — the southern border is sealed. Indeed, when it comes to illegal invasions into the US, it is now our northern border which presents a serious problem, yet one which I am confident is being brought under control as we speak. And as you said, Mr. Rees-Mogg, this is owing to Mr. Trump's firm resolve to bring peace and security to America.

I'm surprised again at the glaring problem not mentioned.

It's white liberal women who vote for the politicians who encourage mass illegal immigration from turd world nations.

If even ten percent of women voted fir politicians who worked in their real interests life would be better for everyone.

Unsurprisingly, an ex-Conservative Minister steering the debate to illegal migration. The previous government(s) promised to reduce immigration but did everything they could to help businesses and universities increase it through the visa system. The EU question and 'the boats' provided suitable distractions. The latter never quite being addressed for one excuse or another. The Rwanda solution only being passed when the government was sure to fall. The Labour government might be able to make some small difference to legal migration but long ago tied its own hands on the boats issue for ideological reasons.

The truth is that immigration provides cheap labour, housing demand, huge profits multinationals, further education and the legal profession; and boosts short term growth. I don't believe any government will address it.

This article demonstrates repeatedly that our ruling elites are completely out of touch with the views of electorate. This is the first problem we have to solve and it doesn’t seem to matter who we elect.

There is a big difference between the UK and the USA. With a land border a wall can be built.

Wonderfully written. No one addresses the glaring obvious of the conglomerates/ millionaire hotel owners who sell out to Serco. They should be held to account also as they are culpable too. Look at where the money goes as it doesn’t go to helping the communities suffering.

I am frightened - really frightened. What can we do? People keep saying He'll be gone soon....but how? Nobody answers that. I will be 80 in the New Year - my Will instructs that my ashes be laid in a particular churchyard here in Wiltshire-once there I know I'll be safe. I want to die now so I can be safely buried. I'm not ill I'm just frightened very very frightened.

Don’t be scared, OS.

And, may I point out that you capitalized the “H” in “he” when referring to the very mortal PM. He’s not God, he’s just a guy raised in Surrey. Hardly God’s own county!

You’ll get through this, Old Sarum.
