From his book, I was surprised to learn that Boris was gung-ho for the green agenda, including Net Zero. I know you cannot violate the seal of cabinet secrecy, but have you discussed this matter with him since you left government and persuaded him to, at least, modify his view?
It is my understanding, Jeremy, that from the onset of the Ukraine war, Boris put our country’s energy independence to the top of his agenda, issuing more licenses for oil and gas production and lifting the restrictions on the exploration of fracking. He did these things before he left office but I think R Sunak undid them when he took over.
It is so helpful, Jacob, the way you put things together to make them make sense and easy to understand! There is so much conflicting information out there that it takes me ages to sift through it and get it to make sense! You have saved me that effort about greenery! Thank you!
