I remember many years ago going to Veneration of the Cross on Good Friday at a very dark time in my life-and having venerated I took my seat and finally knelt and to my horror found tears welling-not like MarjorieKemp-noisy wailing, but a real sadness pouring out. A lady to my right and one to my right. I was quiet but the lovely ladies just sat with my hands; then a pair of male hands came and held my shoulders and saidquietly-it's all going to be alright and then as I calmed down I felt a bit better. And into my head came 'since by man came death..by man came also the Resurrection of the dead,For in Adam all die, just so in Christ shall be made alive!. I felt all my sadness and anxiety go, when I had calmed. I thanked the lady to my right and asked her where the man was, who had tlked to me. She said to me, puzzled. There was no man behind you...not at all. I felt someone, a man wAS there, gentle and concerned and was puzzled too. But I then realised my Redeemer was living, and loved me and everything wouldbe good-and it was. After all the evil out there today, your prayers are going to a real power and who is concerned that all will be well with us. Easter is indeed a time of tremendous Joy, Happy Easter to you and yoursand to all on the Substack!! May all be well with us.
